Headlight Restoration
Plastic headlights are renowned to deteriorate with age. Unlike glass lenses, the porous plastic lenses fade and discolour over time due to the sun’s UV radiation and other environmental factors. Subsequently the headlights do not perform well at night and if particularly bad can lead to problems when the vehicle requires an MOT. Deteriorated plastic headlights can also make a vehicle look neglected and will have a negative impact on resale value.
A multiple stage wet sanding process is required to remove the damage followed by a machine polish to remove sanding marks. The restoration is finished by resealing the headlights to protect them from harmful UV rays. The result is a dramatic transformation.
